Job History (worth listing)
D & J AUDIO
My first job as an installer. (What more can I say?)

PRO STEREO
By now I thought I knew it all, so I started my own little business. I rented a bay from a Pasadena car lot and ran my own shop for just over two years.

INTERNATIONAL AUDIO
My friend for almost five years, the owner of this shop recruited me to join his staff. I eventually became the manager of the shop, supervising three installers and a window tinter. The sound board I built is still being used for display.

JAM TEK
I thought this was going to be a good idea. In the late '80's and early '90's this was the premier shop in our area. After the owner lost interest in the shop it went down hill. My how things change.

SOUNDS N SIGNALS
Some of the best people I have ever worked with were here. I learned a lot about personal interaction and trust after leaving this company.

WORLD WIDE STEREO
This sounded like a good idea, a stable job at a very profitable store. Being in a position where my opinions didn't matter, hurt. Working for someone who constantly criticized my every move, did it in.

MILLENNIUM CAR AUDIO
A dark time in my recent past. I was the sole salesman, installer and general manager of the car audio department. Low pay and numerous break ins(especially one that cost me ALL of my tools)forced me to leave here as well.

PRO SOUND
Hired on as an installer, I was manager in three weeks and helping out in the sales department. It was another in a long list of good shops. Bad relations with another installer put me in a position where it was easier for me to leave.

CRUCIAL SOUNDS
A nasty bit of business. I was recruited to join the staff in an effort to boost the reputation of the shop (so the owner could profit more when he sold it). Located down the road from International Audio, my moving to this store ruined the relationship I had with the owner of International. Working there almost ruined my reputation as a good installer.

WORLD WIDE STEREO
A new face was in charge of the company, I saw it as a chance to learn and be around some people I respected. Things went wrong within the first few months, and I was soon working for the same man that spent so much of his time criticizing me. After being compaired to a small child in front of customers, I chose to leave again.

DB FACTORY
I met the owner while he was a rep for a local distributor, he offered me a job. I accepted and started my personal rebound from low self esteem. If there was anybody that could get the credit OUTSIDE of my family, it would be Doug Parks.
The shop was closed down almost a year after I joined the team. It seems that robbery would be the downfall of a really good thing.

MOBILE ONE
Boy did I step in it with this one. I had to find a job that paid really good, so we could get out of some debt that had collected while I was unemployed for two months. I was moved to the busiest store in town. While I was averaging over 2,000 bi-weekly, the 14-16 hour days were killing my marriage. I quit to go back to the smaller retail shops.

SOUNDJAMZ
A custom shop. Good guy running the place. I left for what I thought was a golden opportunity.

DRAGSTER CAR AUDIO (car audio manufacturer)
This was a dream come true, I thought. I was recruited and hired on as the product specialist. Most of my time was actually spent playing secretary, or assistant for the sales manager of the company. I was let go after only two months on the job as of this moment it seems the company is headed south. I wish them luck in recovering from the lack of sales and reception. I felt it was a good product, and wish it would get a fair chance.

MOBILE ONE (again)
I started back with M-1 and in three months became a shop manager. I am currently working on the east side of town.
